- To ensure purchase orders are raised correctly through the purchase request function and efficiently in line with set timelines as agreed with the Supply Chain team and Plant Manager.
- To work closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Production and Warehouse departments ensuring that issues regarding schedules, products or quality are reported to the relevant department immediately.
- Log operational downtime data daily ensuring data is entered correctly and efficiently in line with set timelines agreed with the Plant Manager.
- Coordinate with Buyer/Planners to ensure proper planning and allocation of resources to expeditiously manage inward goods by ensuring all stock receipting protocols are adhered to including verification of goods received against invoice and purchase order, receipting in SAP and reporting any discrepancies.
- Coordinate interstate transfer orders to ensure efficient stock transfers.
- To assist the Plant Manager with allocation of duties, coordinating workflow, checking progress & quality of work.
- To assist in production planning.
- Ensure systems processing is done on a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) basis and monitor the recording of documentation.
- Monitor stock on hand coverage, ensuring enough stock is on hand to meet current and future orders.
- Assist the Plant/Site Manager and HSE Manager with Health and Safety initiatives.
- Arrange and support external maintenance, documenting work required and filing of completed work maintenance records.
- Engage and organise contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance for specialist services for breakdown situations, in the absence of Plant Manager/Site Manager on site.
- To assist Plant/Site Manager and make recommendations for improvements to safety, health, environment, quality and productivity.
- Carry out duties as required by the Plant Manager/Site Manager or Senior that may arise due to business demands.
Your expertise - Our strength
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within a production environment.
- Dealing with transport drivers and booking transport requirements.
- Knowledge of vehicle loading and weight limits.
- Experience in physical stock taking, reconciliations, rotation of stock, shelf life reviews of raw material.
- Knowledge of HSE, EPA Dangerous Goods & Hazardous Substance storage & handling requirements (desirable).
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisation and coordination skills
- Strong communication skills and sound relationship building skills
- Problem solving skills & using a proactive approach to issues.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Proficient in Word and Excel
