OPEN TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS: This position is available for candidates located in Alberta, Manitoba or Saskatchewan as these will be the region to service.

What does the role involve?

As a member of the Commercial Construction team, the new incumbent will work under the direction of the Regional Sales Manager or the Territory Manager.

The Technical Sales Representative should exhibit capabilities selling products related to concrete repair & protection, flooring (epoxy & urethane ), masonry mortars, stucco / EIFS systems. While providing technical advice to our customers and distributors.

  • Meet with clients and distributors to present our products and provide technical advice on the products to be used according to the work to be done.
  • Assist the Regional Sales Manager or the Territory Manager in contract reviews with distributors and clients.
  • Develop/establish new clientele increasing market share and growth.
  • Analyze the competition and be prepared to defend our sales position.
  • Ensure that the client is directed to Customer Service to place an order.
  • Perform any other related tasks while adhering to Sika Canada Inc.'s quality assurance and environmental management procedures.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • At least two years prior sales experience.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills.
  • Must be persuasive, sales driven, customer focused and a team player.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance in accordance with Sika dress policy at all times.
  • Career advancement may require domestic and/or global mobility.
     

Vehicle/ Driver’s License Requirements:

  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and comply with Sika Fleet Safety Policy requirements.
  • Technical Sales Representatives has responsibility for prudent care and protection of company assets.
