We are looking for a Management Trainee to become part of our next generation of Technical Sales. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience towards a managerial role with advancement potential.

To be successful as a Management Trainee, you should have superb attention to detail and be able to promptly identify problems. Outstanding candidates will have great leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

The Journey:

During the 18 months traineeship, management trainees will rotate to different, or within, company departments (between sales, operations, and customer service) to learn all company functions, policies, and staff duties. They will start to a journey to become a sales professional to strategic planning and help evaluate employee and department performance (e.g. analyzing, writing reports).  Development components shall include: rotational assignments including cross country projects/training/seminars; mentorship to help navigate daily challenges; formal training sessions/ workshops/seminars to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management; Job rotation & project deployment to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills and knowledge in a practical setting; networking to expand professional connections; and opportunity to work and be coached by Sika Senior Managers.

Your expertise - Our strength

Management Trainee tasks and responsibilities are as follows: 

 

  • Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
  • Preparing documents and updating records
  • Traveling to different offices and participating in daily operations as required.
  • Help managers complete daily tasks (e.g. implementing new policies)
  • Understand each department’s (e.g. Marketing, Sales) daily processes and goals
  • Provide administrative support (e.g. data entry)
  • Get familiar with personnel duties
  • Participate in company’s strategic planning
  • Help managers in evaluating performance (e.g. writing reports, analyzing data)
  • Keep track of business revenue 
  • Research ways to increase profitability and lower risk
  • Create and give presentations
  • Observing and learning from experienced staff members.
  • Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.

We’re looking for young, committed talents with:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical/Construction/Industry Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of working experience in relevant or similar capacity (as of 15 August 2024 - commencement date of Management Trainee Program 2024)
  • Confident and positive team player with eagerness to learn.  
  • Passionate with a drive to succeed, and proactive.
  • Strong command of English and Korean, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Knowledge of other Asian languages a plus
  • Excellent analytical, computational ability, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel skills, SQL, and familiarity with BI tools
  • Multicultural exposure and strong adaptability with desire for international travel 
  • The desire to grow and develop with a company on a long-term scale
  • Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of MS Office, digital native
