Our goals - Your path

Sika is establishing a new Group Risk Management team to provide comprehensive oversight of risks, controls and insurance protection, aligned with organisational resilience and regulatory compliance.

Main responsibilities

  • Run and further develop groupwide Sika ICS framework
  • Design and testing of controls: Oversee development, documentation and testing of internal controls (financial/non-financial)
  • Manage and maintain the risk inventory together with Sika’s Enterprise Risk Management
  • Provide ICS advice, guidance and support to Sika entities and new acquisitions
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, address control deficiencies and manage remediation plans

Working with:

  • Group Risk Management Team: Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance Management and Sustainability Risk Management
  • Finance: Group Controlling, Treasury, Tax
  • IT: Cyber Security, Application Owners
  • Regional and Local Management
  • Experts in various functions such as R&D, Operations, HR, Compliance, ESG or Internal Audit

 

Your expertise - Our strength

Education:

  • University degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • Additional training in Internal Control Systems or Audit
  • Business fluent in German and English (spoken and written), other languages an asset

Experience:

  • Experience as an Internal Control Specialist / Auditor or in finance, insurance, Enterprise Risk Management
  • Background in consulting, project management or the chemical/construction sector
  • Broad understanding of Internal Controls (not only financial controls, but also entity-level controls and ESG controls)
  • Ability to analyse financial reports, detect anomalies, and assess the effectiveness of controls using tools like Excel, SQL or BI software

 

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO), regulatory requirements and risk mitigation strategies
  • Strong at translating complex issues into digestible messages
  • Good networker, resilient and able to adapt to new situations
  • Good communication and presentation skills
