Responsibilities & Opportunities

Broad Function and Purpose of Position:    1st Shift (10:00AM - 6:00PM)

To perform clerical duties for the shipping department to include data entry, inventory transactions and reporting, cycle count reporting and analysis and maintenance of shipping documents.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create transfer orders per customers’ requirements.
  • Schedule standard and expedited shipments.
  • Process material handling requests.
  • Monitor and execute FIFO practices.
  • Performs additional shipping responsibilities as needed.
  • Submit ASN’s for all outbound shipments.
  • Manage all shipping paperwork.
  • Meet & greet drivers, direct drivers for loading.
  • Work with material handling team to ensure orders are pulled.
  • Assist in scheduling outbound toller deliveries.

Qualifications/Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years’ experience in shipping preferred.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Detail oriented professional.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision but in a team environment.
