We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives across the organization.

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned categories to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Analyze market trends, conduct supplier evaluations, and identify new sourcing opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive procurement projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through proactive planning and risk management strategies
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and implement best practices
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance and savings to senior management

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful procurement strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with key suppliers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AX)
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices
  • Experience in managing multiple procurement categories and conducting market analyses
  • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles and strategic sourcing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and supply chain management
  • Familiarity with contract law and risk management in procurement
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Mongolian or other relevant languages is a plus
