About Maintenance

Our Maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production equipment. Through planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities, we strive to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality product output. As part of our team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Purpose of the Role

This role is designed to train and develop an apprentice into a skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will gain the essential skills and knowledge required to complete a Level 3 qualification in Engineering while progressively working towards covering all aspects of the Sika maintenance engineer job profile. You will actively participate in maintenance activities, support process improvements, and ensure that all machinery and equipment operate at maximum efficiency.

The Skills:
You will develop a strong foundation in maintenance engineering through hands-on training and structured learning. This includes troubleshooting machinery, conducting preventative maintenance, and working with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS). Our comprehensive training approach ensures you are well-prepared for a future in engineering.

Your expertise - Our strength

What we need from you?

  • A minimum of GCSE grade A-C in English, Maths, and IT.
  • Good safety awareness and an understanding of the importance of EH&S.
  • Basic experience in repair and maintenance tasks (e.g., vehicle maintenance).
  • Ability to use hand tools and other engineering-related equipment.
  • A flexible attitude towards work, with a strong commitment to quality and excellence.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning from colleagues.
