What is Sustainable Architecture? Definitions and Statements

Sustainable architecture responds to trends that will shape our future. These so-called megatrends also foster future economic growth. The key to future success will lie in the development of intelligent solutions to these challenges. Architects and their development partners have to anticipate and respond more strongly to changes in the global market. New constructions and renovation projects  demand solutions to the major environmental challenges such as climate change, efficient infrastructure, clean energy, drinking water and ecosystem protection. These solutions are directly linked with Sika’s growth. Consequently Sika aims to ensure that sustainability is integrated effectively into management and business methods, into the research and development strategy, marketing and sales activities, production processes and into collaboration across company lines.
